Ferrous Sulphate
Ferrous sulphate is a chemical substance that can be found in monohydrate, tetrahydrate, pentahydrate and heptahydrate forms.
It’s completely water soluble and is used as an iron source in many industries.
It’s widely used as a fertilizer in agriculture in cases of iron deficiency in plants. It contributes to the healthy growth of crops by contributing to to the increase of chlorphyll pigments.
It’s used as a source of iron trace element in animal feed. Iron deficiency in animal species can cause problems such as anemia, growth reterdation and decreased immunity. Ferrous sulphate is an effective source of iron for animal species. Iron sulphate which is frequently used in industrial applications, is used as a flocculant in water treatment plants and also used as a chronium reducing agent in the cement industry.
