Ferrous Sulphate Monohydrate

Ferrous sulfate monohydrate is an odorless, dry chemical substance with a white-gray to greenish color.

It is completely soluble in water and contains at least 30% Fe (Iron).

It is widely used as a fertilizer in agriculture in order to prevent growth inhibition due to iron deficiency in plants. It contributes to the growth of healthy crops by contributing to the increase of chlorophyll pigments.

It is used as a source of trace element iron in animal feed. Iron deficiency in animal species can cause problems such as anemia, growth retardation, and decreased immunity. Ferrous sulfate monohydrate is an effective source of iron for animal species. In order to meet the different needs of different animal species at different ages and conditions. Ferrous sulfate monohydrate is used in a wide variety of animal feed products.

Iron sulfate monohydrate, which is frequently used in industrial applications, is used as a flocculant in water treatment plants and is also used as a chromium reducing agent in the cement industry.

Chromium is an undesirable element in cement that can cause allergic reactions and dermatitis. Depending on the concentration and exposure time, hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) in cement penetrates human skin and causes allergies called chromate dermatitis, but it is also classified as a carcinogen. It is necessary to reduce chromium in cement to protect human health and protect the environment.

Free-flowing powdered iron sulphate monohydrate is preferred for chromium reduction in cement production and is suitable for pneumatic conveyors. It is the most thermodynamically stable form of iron sulfate species.
