Zinc Sulphate

Zinc sulphate is an inorganic compound with the formula ZnSO4(H2O)x. The most common forms includes water of crystallization as the heptahydrate, with the formula ZnSO4·7H2O and monohydrate with the formula ZnSO4·H2O.

Zinc sulphate is used in many industries such as chemistry, paint, leather, pharmaceutical, mining, agriculture, feed .

Zinc sulphate is an essential source of zinc in agriculture industry. It’s a micronutrient used in order to prevent zinc deficiency in plants. Zinc deficiency causes chlorisis of developing leaves and inhibition of growth. It plays an essential role in various enzyme systems of plants. Zinc sulphate used as a fertilizer additive, helps to regulate soil pH, increases fruit retention, prevents yellowing of green leaves.

Zinc sulphate used in animal feed formulations are also a source of zinc trace element. It helps to promote healthy growth and development in young animals,  improves immune function in animals. In case of zinc deficiency in animals, it can weaken the immune system. Zinc deficiency in animal species can cause problems such as weakness in muscle development, inflamation aroun nose and mouth, drop in milk yield.

Zinc sulphate is also used in mining industry as deppressant and activator in froth flotation process. Activators and Depressants are a group of chemicals that react with the minerals to prevent them from floating with the collector. Zinc sulphate is commonly used in the extraction of mostly zinc, copper, lead ores.

As Lapischem we produce high quality Zinc Sulphate products through Leach process, with different specifications for many application areas.  We are a world wide provider in zinc sulphate products with our REACH registration.
